CeDRE
is an evaluation development and research center incorporated
in Malaysia. It is formally associated and works closely
with PPSEI International and CeDRE Australia.
Over the years, CeDRE Malaysia has worked in close collaboration
with the Collaborative Institute for Research, Consulting
and Learning in Evaluation (CIRCLE), incorporating the Program
for Public Sector Evaluation (PPSE), RMIT University, Melbourne,
Australia. Both of these institutions are among the leading
institutions in public sector evaluation in Australia and
are widely recognised internationally for their cutting-edge
work in evaluation research and development work.
CeDRE specialises in various management services, with particular focus on public sector monitoring and evaluation and integrated performance management. In addition, CeDRE also offers technical advisory services and training in Results-based Management, Results-based Budgeting, Public Sector Financial Management, and related fields. It conducts hands-on workshops using a unique attachment program on monitoring and evaluation for developing countries as well as for donor agencies. This is a one-of-its-kind program that combines theory with practical hands-on sessions under a customised action-oriented learning approach.
CeDRE is also actively involved in local, regional, and international advocacy and capacity-building initiatives in integrated monitoring and evaluation systems for improving program performance improvements and policy decision-making in the public sector. Its team of public management and M&E advisors have worked with national governments, donor countries, and regional and international donor agencies to develop, introduce, and promote the use of international best practices in monitoring and evaluation in several countries through the use of unique and effective management tools and approaches. These advisors have at least 25-30 years of experience in the public sector in various capacities and senior positions. In most cases, they have been instrumental in advising, designing, and implementing cutting-edge public sector management policies and strategies across government over the years both in Malaysia as well as in numerous countries in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Some of them have also been instrumental in successfully turning around or reviving non-performing donor-funded public sector reform projects in several developing countries.
