Q.	Why is CeDRE Malaysia offering courses on the Results-Based Management system?
A.	Results-Based Management (RBM) has been internationally recognised as an excellent development planning, monitoring, and reporting system for developing countries. CeDRE Malaysia's objective is to provide practical and proven capacity-building in RBM and related aspects to assist developing countries gain critical knowledge, skills, and expertise on all aspects of the RBM and its core components.
Q.	What is CeDRE Malaysia's core business?
A.	CeDRE Malaysia's core business revolves around evaluation and related aspects. This includes substantive development and research work in Integrated Results-Based Management and related areas, including: a. Results-Based Development Planning & Performance Management; b. Results-Based Budgeting d. Results-Based Monitoring & Evaluation e. Results-Based Management Information Systems
Q.	What is CeDRE Malaysia's track record?
A.	CeDRE Malaysia has been in existence for more than 10 years with exclusive focus on the public sector. Its senior associates have been/are policy and technical advisors to numerous countries in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. They also have extensive consulting experience with major donors such as the UNDP, World Bank, Commonwealth Secretariat, ASEAN, in addition to bilateral/multilateral donors.
Q.	What is the difference between RBM and the Integrated Results-Based Management System (IRBM)?
A.	RBM focuses on performance based on results instead of inputs and activities. It focuses on the relationship between inputs, outputs, and outcomes. The Integrated RBM (IRBM) system also focuses on inputs, outputs, and outcomes. However, it adopts a more holistic approach to development planning, monitoring, and reporting and all other associated aspects. Further, it strategically utilizes evaluation to integrate policy and implementation. The IRBM system is particularly useful for developing countries as it enables systematic development planning and implementation.
Q.	Why is it important for developing countries to attend the IRBM training programme?
A.	Developing countries are increasingly facing resource constraints and capacity-building challenges within an increasingly globalised environment. Policy makers and program managers in these countries urgently need the right exposure, knowledge, skills, and expertise in the IRBM system and how to utilize it to substantially improve development results.
Q.	Why is CeDRE Malasia's IRBM Course different from other programmes?
A.	The IRBM course conducted by CeDRE Malaysia is a practical, hands-on training programme built on real-life experiences and challenges. The IRBM course covers all critical components including development planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, as well as management information systems. It also adopts an integrated approach with strong emphasis on both vertical and horizontal integration, which are critical for the success of a country's development programs/projects.
Q.	Who are CeDRE Malaysia's resource persons?
A.	Its team of senior associates have been or are still policy and/or technical advisors for several countries. Its resources persons have an average of more than 25-30 years of pubic sector experience in various senior positions and capacities and have hands-on experience with public sector reform and performance improvement.
Q.	How do I register for the IRBM and other CeDRE Malaysia Courses?
A.	Registration is easy. Just complete the course registration form and email it to CeDRE Malaysia with the necessary payment. The necessary registration form and guidelines are available for download on the CeDRE Malaysia website at: www.cedre.org.my/courses.htm or you can also obtain a copy by sending an email request to: admin@cedre.org.my
Q.	If I'm unable to attend the course after registering, can I pass on my place to another official from my office?
A.	Yes, you can pass on your place to another official from your organization but you must notify the Program Manager at CeDRE Malaysia prior to the commencement of the Course.
Q.	What discounts are available for the IRBM and other courses by CeDRE Malaysia?
A.	Substantive discounts of up to 20% are available for qualified registrations. Early bird discounts are 5% while another 5% discount is available for 2 or more participants from the same organization. Another 10% discount is available for particpants who sign up for Courses 1,2,3, and 4.
Q.	I dont have the necessary funding to attend the Course. Where can I secure funding to attend this Course?
A.	Funding for such programmes is generally available from the donors operating in your country. The RBM system is recognised by UNDP, the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and generally by all other bilateral/multi-lateral donors. It would be advisable to apply for funding through your government.
Q.	Can CeDRE Malaysia assist with securing such funding?
A.	CeDRE Malaysia can assist you to seek funding from donors but you should first approach the relevant donors in your country through your government. CeDRE Malaysia will then send a note of support to the relevant donor/s, if necessary to provide explain the usefulness and relevance of the Course/s.
Q.	We find the IRBM system very practical and useful and would like more of our officials to be trained. Can this course be customised and run in my country so that more key officials can be trained?
A.	One of CeDRE Malaysia's primary objective is to assist developing countries to adopt the IRBM system and to build relevant capacity as extensively as possible. As such, CeDRE Malaysia would be happy to customise and conduct the IRBM and related programmes in your country.
